حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الْبَتِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ أَصَبْنَا نِسَاءً مِنْ سَبْيِ أَوْطَاسٍ وَلَهُنَّ أَزْوَاجٌ فَكَرِهْنَا أَنْ نَقَعَ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَلَه
ُنَّ أَزْوَاجٌ فَسَأَلْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ { وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنْ النِّسَاءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ } قَالَ فَاسْتَحْلَلْنَا بِهَا فُرُوجَهُنَّ

English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Uthman al-Batti, from Abu al-Khalil, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: We captured women from the prisoners of Awtas, and they had husbands. We were reluctant [to approach them], so we asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the verse was revealed: {And [also prohibited to you are all] married women except those your right hands possess} [al-Nisa' 4:24]. So we considered them lawful.
