حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطِ
يَّةُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ آذَنَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالرَّحِيلِ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فِي لَيْلَتَيْنِ خَلَتَا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَخَرَجْنَا صُوَّامًا حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغْنَا الْكَدِيدَ فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْفِطْرِ فَأَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ مِنْهُمْ الصَّائِمُ وَمِنْهُمْ الْمُفْطِرُ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ أَدْنَى مَنْزِلٍ تِلْقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ وَأَمَرَنَا بِالْفِطْرِ فَأَفْطَرْنَا أَجْمَعِينَ

English Translation
Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Abd al-'Aziz narrated to us, who said: 'Atiyyah ibn Qays narrated to me, from someone who narrated to him, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed us that there would be a dispute among the people after the death of a caliph and a man would emerge from Madinah fleeing to Makkah. People from the inhabitants of Makkah would come to him and would bring him out against his will. They would pledge allegiance to him between the Rukn [Black Stone corner] and the Maqam [Station of Ibrahim]. An army would be sent against them from Sham and the earth would swallow them up in the desert between Makkah and Madinah.
