English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, Fudayl ibn Marzuq narrated to me, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه). A man asked him about performing ghusl from janabah (major ritual impurity). He said: Three times (pouring water). The man said: I have a lot of hair. He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had more hair than you, and he used to pour water on his head three times.
