English Translation

Isma'il narrated to us, from Abdul-'Aziz, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "None of you should wish for death because of harm that has befallen him. If he must say something, let him say: 'O Allah, keep me alive so long as life is good for me, and cause me to die when death is good for me.'"
