حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ

الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَعَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَعْزِمْ فِي الدُّعَاءِ وَلَا يَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَعْطِنِي فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا مُسْتَكْرِهَ لَهُ

English Translation
Isma'il narrated to us, Abdul-'Aziz narrated to us, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you supplicates, let him be determined in his supplication and not say: 'O Allah, if You will, give me.' For there is no one who can compel Allah."
