English Translation
Ibn Abi 'Adiyy narrated from Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that Abu Musa asked the Prophet ﷺ for a mount, and he found him busy. He said: 'By Allah, I will not carry you.' When Abu Musa turned to leave, the Prophet ﷺ called him back and gave him a mount. Abu Musa said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you swore not to carry me.' He said: 'I swore not to carry you, but I have carried you. Indeed, I do not swear an oath and then see something better than it except that I do what is better and expiate for my oath.'
