Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ
عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَشَيْءٌ نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْ شَيْءٌ يَقُولُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ مَالٍ لَابْتَغَى لَهُمَا ثَالِثًا وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ

English Translation
Yazid informed us from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: I used to hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say — and I do not know whether it was something revealed to him or something he said himself: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, old age, and miserliness. And I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave and from the trials of life and death.'
