English Translation

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us from Abu Sadaqah, the freed slave of Anas, who said: I asked Anas (رضي الله عنه) about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: 'He used to pray Dhuhr when the sun declined, and 'Asr between your two prayers, and Maghrib when the sun had set, and 'Isha' — sometimes he would delay it and sometimes he would hasten it. When he saw them gathered, he would hasten it, and when he saw them delayed, he would delay it. And the Subh (Fajr) prayer — from the break of dawn until it became light.'
