حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ قِيلَ وَمَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ كَلِمَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'There is no contagion (spreading independently of Allah's will) and no evil omens, and I am pleased by the good omen (fa'l).' It was said: 'What is the good omen?' He said: 'A good word.'
