حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ وَحُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَنْ أَمِنَهُ النَّاسُ وَالْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ السُّوءَ وَالَّ
ذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَبْدٌ لَا يَأْمَنُ جَارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ وَحُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَنْ أَمِنَهُ النَّاسُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

English Translation
Hasan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn Zayd, Yunus ibn 'Ubayd, and Humayd, from Anas — meaning Ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) — who said: the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The believer (mu'min) is one from whom people feel safe regarding their lives and property, and the Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand people are safe, and the muhajir (emigrant) is one who abandons sins, and the mujahid (fighter) is one who strives against his own self in obedience to Allah عز وجل.'
