حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ لَقَدْ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةً لَوْ صَلَّا
هَا أَحَدُكُمْ الْيَوْمَ لَعِبْتُمُوهَا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ وَمُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي نَمِرٍ أَفَلَا تَذْكُرُ ذَاكَ لِأَمِيرِنَا وَالْأَمِيرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيرِ فَقَالَ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Abdillah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, he said: 'Ubaydullah — meaning Ibn 'Abdillah ibn Mawhab — narrated to us, he said: I heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) saying: We used to pray with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a prayer such that if one of us wanted to place his forehead on the ground for prostration, he would first look for a cool place because of the intensity of the heat.
