English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq and Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, Ibn Shihab informed me, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: The last glance I had of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was when he fell ill and Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) was leading the people in prayer. He uncovered the curtain of 'A'ishah's room. His face was like a page of the Mushaf (so bright and radiant). He smiled, laughing. We were almost distracted from our prayer out of joy at seeing the Prophet ﷺ. Abu Bakr stepped back to join the row, thinking that the Prophet ﷺ would come out for the prayer. the Prophet ﷺ gestured to them: 'Complete your prayer,' then he lowered the curtain. He passed away that same day.
