حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى قَالَ اسْتَحْمَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْ
هِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَلَفَ لَا يَحْمِلُنَا ثُمَّ حَمَلَنَا قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ حَلَفْتَ لَا تَحْمِلُنَا قَالَ وَأَنَا أَحْلِفُ لَأَحْمِلَنَّكُمْ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Humayd, who said: I heard Anas (رضي الله عنه) say that Abu Musa (رضي الله عنه) said: 'We asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a mount, and he swore not to give us one. Then he gave us mounts.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, you swore not to give us mounts!' He ﷺ said: 'I do not swear an oath then see something better than it except that I do the better thing.'
