English Translation

Isma'il informed us, Khalid informed us, from Abu Qilabah, who said: Anas (رضي الله عنه) said: Bilal was commanded to make the adhan in pairs and the iqamah in singles. I narrated this to Ayyub and he said: 'Except the iqamah' — meaning 'qad qamat al-salah' is said twice.
