حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ هِشَامَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ يَهُودِيَّةً جَعَلَتْ سُمًّا فِي لَحْمٍ ثُمَّ أَتَتْ بِهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا جَعَلَتْ فِيهِ سُمًّا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا نَقْتُلُهَا قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَجَعَلْتُ أَعْرِفُ ذَلِكَ فِي لَهَوَاتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Rawh narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said I heard Hisham ibn Zayd who said I heard Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrating that a Jewish woman placed poison in meat and then brought it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate from it, then she was brought to him and he asked her about it. She said, 'I intended to kill you.' He said, 'Allah would not give you authority over that.' They said, 'Shall we not kill her?' He said, 'No.' Anas said: I continued to notice the effects of that poison on the palate of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
