English Translation
Bahz narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not practice wisal [continuous fasting without breaking at night].' They said: 'But you practice wisal.' He said: 'You are not like me in that regard. I spend the night and my Lord feeds me and gives me drink' — or he said: 'I am fed and given drink.'
