حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عِصَامٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْ

هِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الشَّرَابِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّهُ أَرْوَى وَأَمْرَأُ وَأَبْرَأُ قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَأَنَا أَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الشَّرَابِ ثَلَاثًا

English Translation

'Affan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, Abu 'Isam narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to breathe three times while drinking, and he would say: It is more quenching, more wholesome, and more healing.' Anas said: 'So I also breathe three times while drinking.'
