English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Thabit informed us, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said on the Day of Uhud, while wiping the blood from his face: 'How can a people succeed who have bloodied the face of their Prophet while he calls them to their Lord?' Then Allah revealed: 'Not for you is the decision' [3:128].
