بُرَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ لَا يُرَدُّ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ فَادْعُوا

English Translation

Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Burayd ibn Abi Maryam, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah (عز وجل) will say to the lightest in punishment of the people of Hellfire on the Day of Resurrection: If you had everything on earth, would you ransom yourself with it? He will say: Yes. He will say: I asked you for something less than that when you were in the loins of Adam — that you not associate anything with Me — but you insisted on associating partners with Me.'
