حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَبْلًا مَمْدُودًا بَي
ْنَ سَارِيَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا الْحَبْلُ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لِحَمْنَةَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ تُصَلِّي فَإِذَا أَعْيَتْ تَعَلَّقَتْ بِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِتُصَلِّ مَا أَطَاقَتْ فَإِذَا أَعْيَتْ فَلْتَجْلِسْ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Thabit informed us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a rope stretched between two pillars in the mosque and said: 'What is this rope?' They said: 'This rope belongs to Zaynab; when she becomes tired in her prayer, she holds onto it.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Untie it. Let one of you pray as long as he has energy, and when he becomes tired, let him sit down.'
