حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُ

ولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا وَنَقَشَ فِيهِ نَقْشًا فَقَالَ إِنِّي اتَّخَذْتُ خَاتَمًا وَنَقَشْتُ فِيهِ نَقْشًا فَلَا يَنْقُشْ أَحَدٌ عَلَى نَقْشِهِ

English Translation

Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Aziz ibn Suhayb informed us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a ring made and had an inscription engraved on it. He said: 'I have had a ring made and engraved an inscription on it, so let no one engrave with the same inscription.' The inscription was 'Muhammad Rasul Allah' (Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ).
