حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا أَسَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يَزْنِي ا
لزَّانِي حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَا يَسْرِقُ حِينَ يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ قَالَ جَابِرٌ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ قَالَ جَابِرٌ وَأَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عَمْرٍو أَنَّهُ قَدْ سَمِعَهُ

English Translation
Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr who said: I asked Jabir: 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: The fornicator does not commit fornication while he is a believer, and the thief does not steal while he is a believer?' He said: 'Yes, and [he also said]: and the one who drinks intoxicants does not drink them while he is a believer, and the plunderer does not plunder while he is a believer, and the one who embezzles does not embezzle while he is a believer. So beware, beware!'
