حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ جَابِرًا أخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُمْ غَزَوْا

غَزْوَةً بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ فَهَاجَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحٌ شَدِيدَةٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا لِمَوْتِ مُنَافِقٍ فَرَجَعْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَوَجَدْنَا مُنَافِقًا عَظِيمَ النِّفَاقِ قَدْ مَاتَ

English Translation

Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr — that Jabir informed him that they went on an expedition between Makkah and Madinah, and a severe wind blew upon them. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'It is because of the death of a hypocrite.' When they arrived in Madinah, they found that one of the great hypocrites had died.
