English Translation

Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) who informed him that Umar ibn al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) informed him that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'The people of Makkah will leave it, then it will not be inhabited — or it will barely be inhabited. Then it will be resettled and its people will settle in it. Then they will leave it again, and it will not be inhabited afterward.'
