حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى وَقُتَيْبَةُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَ

لَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيَسِيرَنَّ رَاكِبٌ فِي جِهَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ فِي جَانِبِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَيَقُولَنَّ لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي هَذِهِ مَرَّةً حَاضِرٌ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَثِيرٌ

English Translation

Musa and Qutaybah narrated to us, they said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'A rider will travel alongside Madinah' — Qutaybah said: 'on the side of Madinah' — 'and will say: There was once a large settlement of Muslims here, a great number of them.'
