English Translation

Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) — that Bannatu al-Juhani informed him that the Prophet ﷺ passed by some people in the mosque — or in a gathering — who were passing a sword among themselves unsheathed. He said: 'Did I not forbid this? When any of you unsheathes a sword, let him put it in its scabbard, then pass it.'
