حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ أَحْمَدُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَبِي قُحَافَةَ أَوْ جَاءَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ وَرَأْسُهُ وَلِحْي
َتُهُ مِثْلُ الثَّغَامِ أَوْ مِثْلُ الثَّغَامَةِ قَالَ حَسَنٌ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ إِلَى نِسَائِهِ قَالَ غَيِّرُوا هَذَا الشَّيْبَ قَالَ حَسَنٌ قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ أَقَالَ جَنِّبُوهُ السَّوَادَ قَالَ لَا

English Translation
Hasan and Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik narrated to us, they said: Zuhayr narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) — Ahmad said in his narration: Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir — who said: A funeral was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he prayed over it. Then a different funeral was brought, that of a woman, and he prayed over it. Then a different funeral was brought, and they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, pray over them together.' He said: 'Bring them forward one after another.' So the woman was placed nearest to the imam and the man behind her, and he prayed over them.
