حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ أَنْبَأَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلُّوا عَلَى أ
َخٍ لَكُمْ مَاتَ بِغَيْرِ أَرْضِكُمْ قَالُوا مَنْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ النَّجَاشِيُّ أَصْحَمَةُ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ فَصَفَفْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ كُنْتُ فِي الصَّفِّ الثَّالِثِ

English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, from Sa'id, Qatadah informed us, from 'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Pray for a brother of yours who died in a land other than yours.' They said: 'Who is he?' He said: 'Al-Najashi (the Negus).' He went out and lined them up and prayed the funeral prayer over him.
