English Translation

Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn 'Uthman, from Musa ibn Talhah, from Hakim ibn Hizam (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best charity is that which comes from surplus. The upper hand (the giving hand) is better than the lower hand (the receiving hand). Begin with those you are responsible for.'
