English Translation

'Uthman ibn 'Umar narrated to us, Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Urwah, that Hakim ibn Hizam (رضي الله عنه) informed him, saying: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what about the acts of worship I used to do in the pre-Islamic period?' He ﷺ said: 'You have embraced Islam along with the good you sent forth.' Meaning: the reward of those good deeds carries over with your Islam.
