حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ عَنْ زَبَّانَ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّ
ى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الذِّكْرَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى يُضَعَّفُ فَوْقَ النَّفَقَةِ بِسَبْعِ مِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ قَالَ يَحْيَى فِي حَدِيثِهِ بِسَبْعِ مِائَةِ أَلْفِ ضِعْفٍ

English Translation
Ḥasan narrated to us: Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us. He said: And Yaḥyā ibn Ghaylān narrated to us, saying: Rishdīn narrated to us, from Zabbān, from Sahl ibn Muʿādh, from his father [Muʿādh ibn Anas al-Juhanī] (رضي الله عنه), from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ who said: 'Dhikr (remembrance of Allāh) in the path of Allāh is multiplied above spending gold and silver, and above striking the necks of the enemy, and above striking the necks of the enemy.'
