حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَرْحُومٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ عَن
ْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَكَلَ طَعَامًا ثُمَّ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ

English Translation
Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us: Saʿīd narrated to us, saying: Abū Marḥūm narrated to me, from Sahl ibn Muʿādh ibn Anas al-Juhanī, from his father [Muʿādh ibn Anas al-Juhanī] (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Whoever eats food and then says: Praise be to Allāh who has fed me this and provided it for me without any strength or power on my part — he will be forgiven his past sins. And whoever wears a garment and says: Praise be to Allāh who clothed me with this and provided it for me without any strength or power on my part — he will be forgiven his past and future sins.'
