قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرِّ
شْكِ عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ مُسْلِمًا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ فَإِنَّهُمَا نَاكِبَانِ عَنْ الْحَقِّ مَا دَامَا عَلَى صُرَامِهِمَا وَأَوَّلُهُمَا فَيْئًا يَكُونُ سَبْقُهُ بِالْفَيْءِ كَفَّارَةً لَهُ وَإِنْ سَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْ وَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ سَلَامَهُ رَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَرَدَّ عَلَى الْآخَرِ الشَّيْطَانُ وَإِنْ مَاتَا عَلَى صُرَامِهِمَا لَمْ يَدْخُلَا الْجَنَّةَ جَمِيعًا أَبَدًا

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, he said: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Yazīd al-Rishk, from Muʿādhah, from Hishām ibn ʿĀmir who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "It is not permissible for a Muslim to boycott a Muslim for more than three nights, for they are both deviating from the truth as long as they maintain their estrangement. The first of them to return, his returning is an expiation for him. If he greets him with salām and the other does not accept and returns his greeting, the angels return his salām, and the Shayṭān returns it upon the other. If they die in their state of estrangement, they will never enter Paradise together."
