قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ عَطَاء
ِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَخَافَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَخَافَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, he said: Ḥammād — meaning Ibn Salamah — narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd, from Muslim ibn Abī Maryam, from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār, from al-Sāʾib ibn Khallād, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Whoever frightens the people of Madīnah, Allāh عز وجل will frighten him, and upon him is the curse of Allāh, the angels, and all mankind. Allāh will not accept from him on the Day of Resurrection any obligatory or voluntary deed."
