قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْهَادِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَ
نْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ تُصِيبُهُ إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Ghaylān narrated to us, he said: Rishdīn narrated to us, he said: Yazīd ibn ʿAbdillāh — meaning Ibn al-Hād — narrated to me, from Abū Bakr ibn al-Munkadir, from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār, from al-Sāʾib ibn Khallād, from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, that he said: "Nothing afflicts the believer, even a thorn that pricks him, except that Allāh writes a good deed for him by it and erases a sin from him by it."
