قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ أَنَّ جُنَادَةَ بْنَ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رِجَالًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِنَّ الْهِجْرَةَ قَدْ انْقَطَع
َتْ فَاخْتَلَفُوا فِي ذَلِكَ قَالَ فَانْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أُنَاسًا يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ الْهِجْرَةَ قَدْ انْقَطَعَتْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْهِجْرَةَ لَا تَنْقَطِعُ مَا كَانَ الْجِهَادُ

English Translation
Ḥajjāj narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, he said: Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb narrated to me, from Abū al-Khayr, that Junādah ibn Abī Umayyah told him that men among the Companions of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ — some of them said: Hijrah has ended. They differed about that. He said: So I went to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allāh, people say that hijrah has ended. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: Hijrah does not end as long as there is jihād.
