حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ أَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُنِيرِ بْن
ِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْلَمْتُ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اجْعَلْ لِقَوْمِي مَا أَسْلَمُوا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ فَفَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاسْتَعْمَلَنِي عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي عُمَرُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

English Translation
Ṣafwān ibn ʿĪsā narrated to us, he said: al-Ḥārith ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān informed us, from Munīr ibn ʿAbdillāh, from his father, from Saʿd ibn Abī Dhubāb, who said: I came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and accepted Islam. I said, 'O Messenger of Allāh, grant my people that whatever they accepted Islam upon from their wealth remains theirs.' The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ did so and appointed me over them. Then Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه appointed me over them, then ʿUmar appointed me after him.
