English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, he said: Shuʿbah narrated to us, he said: al-Nuʿmān ibn Sālim informed me, from a man he named, from Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim — he said: I think he heard it from Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim — who said: I said, 'O Messenger of Allāh, the people claim that we have no reward in Makkah.' He said — and I think he said: 'They have lied. Your rewards will surely come to you even if you were in a fox's den.'
