حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ أَنَّ رَوْحَ بْنَ زِنْبَاعٍ زَارَ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ
فَوَجَدَهُ يُنَقِّي شَعِيرًا لِفَرَسِهِ قَالَ وَحَوْلَهُ أَهْلُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَوْحٌ أَمَا كَانَ فِي هَؤُلَاءِ مَنْ يَكْفِيكَ قَالَ تَمِيمٌ بَلَى وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ يُنَقِّي لِفَرَسِهِ شَعِيرًا ثُمَّ يُعَلِّقُهُ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ حَبَّةٍ حَسَنَةٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

English Translation
Abū al-Mughīrah narrated to us, he said: Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, he said: Shuraḥbīl ibn Muslim al-Khawlānī narrated to me that Rawḥ ibn Zinbāʿ visited Tamīm al-Dārī and found him cleaning barley for his horse. His family was around him, so Rawḥ said to him: "Was there not among these someone who could have sufficed you?" Tamīm said: "Yes, but I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'No Muslim cleans barley for his horse and then ties it on him except that a good deed is recorded for him for every grain.'" Al-Haytham ibn Khārijah narrated to us, Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from Shuraḥbīl ibn Muslim — and he mentioned a similar ḥadīth.
