English Translation

Abū al-Mughīrah narrated to us, he said: Arṭāh — meaning Ibn al-Mundhir — narrated to us, Ḍamrah ibn Ḥabīb narrated to us, he said: Salamah ibn Nufayl al-Sakūnī narrated to us, he said: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ when someone said to him: "O Messenger of Allāh, were you ever brought food from the sky?" He said: "Yes." They asked: "What was it?" He said: "A heated dish (miskhanah)." They asked: "Was there any left over after you?" He said: "Yes." They asked: "What happened to it?" He said: "It was raised up, and it is being revealed to me that I will be taken soon and will not remain long among you, nor will you remain long after me — only a little. Rather, you will remain until you say 'When?' and you will come in groups, some of you destroying others. Before the Hour there will be severe death, and after it years of earthquakes."
