English Translation
Abū al-Mughīrah narrated to us, he said: Hishām ibn al-Ghāz narrated to us, he said: Abū al-Naḍr narrated to me, he said: Wāthilah ibn al-Asqaʿ called for me — and his eyesight had gone — and said: "O Khabbāb, lead me to Yazīd ibn al-Aswad al-Jurashī." He mentioned the ḥadīth, then said: "Rejoice, for I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saying, reporting from Allāh عز وجل: 'I am as My servant thinks of Me, so let him think of Me whatever he wishes.'"
