English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from Manṣūr, from al-Shaʿbī, from al-Miqdām Abū Karīmah, he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The night of the guest is an obligation. If he wakes in his courtyard [unhosted], it is a debt upon him. If he wishes, he may demand it, and if he wishes, he may leave it.'
