حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَيَّاشُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الْقِتْبَانِيُّ عَنْ أَبِ
ي الْحُصَيْنِ الْحَجْرِيِّ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ وَصَاحِبًا لَهُ يَلْزَمَانِ أَبَا رَيْحَانَةَ يَتَعَلَّمَانِ مِنْهُ خَيْرًا قَالَ فَحَضَرَ صَاحِبِي يَوْمًا وَلَمْ أَحْضُرْ فَأَخْبَرَنِي صَاحِبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا رَيْحَانَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ عَشْرَةً الْوَشْرَ وَالْوَشْمَ وَالنَّتْفَ وَمُكَامَعَةَ الرَّجُلِ الرَّجُلَ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمَا ثَوْبٌ وَمُكَامَعَةَ الْمَرْأَةِ بِالْمَرْأَةِ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمَا ثَوْبٌ وَخَطَّيْ حَرِيرٍ عَلَى أَسْفَلِ الثَّوْبِ وَخَطَّيْ حَرِيرٍ عَلَى الْعَاتِقَيْنِ وَالنَّمِرَ يَعْنِي جِلْدَةَ النَّمِرِ وَالنُّهْبَةَ وَالْخَاتَمَ إِلَّا لِذِي سُلْطَانٍ

English Translation
ʿAttāb narrated to us: ʿAbdullāh — meaning Ibn al-Mubārak — narrated to us: Ḥaywah ibn Shurayḥ informed me: ʿAyyāsh ibn ʿAbbās al-Qitbānī narrated to us, from Abū al-Ḥuṣayn al-Ḥajrī, that he informed him that he and a companion of his would regularly attend upon Abū Rayḥānah to learn good from him. He said: My companion attended one day when I did not, and he informed me that he heard Abū Rayḥānah say: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited ten things — al-washr (filing teeth), al-washm (tattooing), al-natf (plucking), a man lying with another man without a cloth between them, a woman lying with another woman without a cloth between them, two borders of silk at the bottom of the garment, two borders of silk on the shoulders, tiger-skins, plunder, and wearing a ring except for one in authority.
