English Translation

ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated: It was our turn to tend the camels. I brought them back in the evening and found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing and addressing the people. I caught the end of his words: "There is no Muslim who performs wuḍūʾ and perfects his wuḍūʾ, then stands and prays two rakʿahs, turning to them with his heart and his face, except that Paradise becomes his right." I said: "How excellent this is!" Then someone in front of me said: "What came before it was even better." I looked and it was ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه. He said: "I saw that you just arrived." He said: "There is none of you who performs wuḍūʾ and perfects his wuḍūʾ, then says: 'I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muḥammad is His servant and His Messenger,' except that the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him, and he enters through whichever one he wishes."
