English Translation
ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us, ʿUmar ibn Ḥamzah narrated to us, ʿIkrimah ibn Khālid narrated to us, who said: A man from Banū Tamīm spoke disparagingly in his presence, so he took a handful of pebbles to throw at him. Then ʿIkrimah said: So-and-so from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ narrated to me that when Tamīm was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a man said: "This tribe of Tamīm has been slow in this matter." the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at Muzaynah and said: "A people from whom these are is not slow." On another day a man said: "These people of Tamīm have been slow with their charities." Then red and black camels arrived belonging to Banū Tamīm. the Prophet ﷺ said: "These are the camels of my people." And a man spoke against Banū Tamīm in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day, so he said: "Say nothing but good about Banū Tamīm, for they will have the longest spears against the Dajjāl."
