English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Sufyān, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ziyād, from Ziyād ibn Nuʿaym al-Ḥaḍramī, from Ziyād ibn al-Ḥārith al-Ṣudāʾī, that he gave the adhān. Bilāl wanted to give the iqāmah, but the Prophet ﷺ said: "O brother of Ṣudāʾ, the one who gives the adhān is the one who gives the iqāmah."
