English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from al-Minhāl ibn ʿAmr, from Yaʿlā ibn Murrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, that a woman came to him with a son of hers who had been afflicted with a touch of madness. the Prophet ﷺ said to him: "Come out, O enemy of Allah! I am the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." The child recovered. She then gifted him two rams, some dried curd, and some ghee. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "O Yaʿlā, take the dried curd and the ghee, and take one of the two rams and return the other to her." Wakīʿ said on another occasion: from his father — and did not say: "O Yaʿlā."
