حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَ
نْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا يُجَرُّ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ مِنْ يَوْمِ وُلِدَ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَمُوتُ هَرَمًا فِي مَرْضَاةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَحَقَّرَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

English Translation
Ḥaywah ibn Shurayḥ narrated to us, Baqiyyah narrated to us, Baḥīr ibn Saʿd narrated to me, from Khālid ibn Maʿdān, from ʿUtbah ibn ʿAbd who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If a man were dragged on his face from the day he was born to the day he dies of old age, seeking the pleasure of Allah عز وجل, he would still consider it insignificant on the Day of Resurrection.'
