حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ خَارِجَةَ الْخُشَنِيَّ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ ال
نَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَهُمْ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَإِنَّ رَاحِلَتَهُ لَتَقْصَعُ بِجِرَّتِهَا وَإِنَّ لُعَابَهَا لَيَسِيلُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيَّ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَسَمَ لِكُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ نَصِيبَهُ مِنْ الْمِيرَاثِ وَلَا تَجُوزُ وَصِيَّةٌ لِلْوَارِثِ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ أَلَا وَمَنْ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ أَوْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلَا عَدْلًا أَوْ عَدْلًا وَلَا صَرْفًا

English Translation
Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us, Saʿīd — meaning Ibn Abī ʿArūbah — informed us, from Qatādah, from Shahr ibn Ḥawshab, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ghanm: that ʿAmr ibn Khārijah al-Khushanī narrated to them that the Prophet ﷺ addressed them on his mount, and his mount was chewing its cud with its saliva dripping between my shoulders. He said, 'Allah عز وجل has apportioned to every person his share of inheritance, and no bequest is permissible for an heir. The child belongs to the bed, and the fornicator gets the stone. Whoever claims descent from other than his father or affiliates with other than his patrons, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. Allah will accept from him neither repentance nor ransom' — or: 'neither ransom nor repentance.'
