English Translation
Al-Ḥakam ibn Mūsā narrated to us — ʿAbdullāh said: and I heard it from al-Ḥakam — Baqiyyah narrated to us saying: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Yaḥṣubī narrated to me saying: I heard ʿAbdullāh ibn Busr, the Companion of the Prophet ﷺ, say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he came to a door to seek permission, would not face it directly. He would walk along the wall until he sought permission, and then either he would be given permission or he would leave.
